Uterine metroplasty is a corrective surgery done for the patients who have recurrent pregnancy losses (Abortions). Patients who have difficulty in conceiving due to narrow uterine cavity, the presence of Uterine septum (Partition) dividing the uterus into two cavities or due to incompletely resolved uterine septum in the mid cavity. Presence of Uterine anomalies called as MULLERIAN ANOMALIES.
In this procedure, a special bipolar micro knife is used to cut & correct the unnecessary tissues and widen the uterine cavity so that the blood supply to the uterine lining improves well and helps in better conception rates and also by decreasing abortion rates.
